Once upon a time, Rosemary (Linda Marlowe) has been the talk of the
town as model and actress, turning heads by the dozen - but then she had
committed the unspeakable sin ... of just getting older, and ever so
slowly she has drifted into obscurity, with every line that showed in her
face turning her more invisible - even to her "loving" husband
(Dave Sutherland) whose undying love was eventually transferred to a young
secretary. But Rosemary isn't through with men yet, she has her way of
luring them into her lair, like stealing the mobile phone off young Jake
(Tyger Drew-Honey), just so he has to visit her to get it back. It's just
that Rosemary isn't a desparate old woman just longing for male company at
any price, her designs are quite different from that ... Now
this is very clearly veteran actress Linda Marlowe's film, as she's the
center of the movie, and her very much un-invisible, powerhouse
performance makes her "invisible" character really felt - which
will make sense if you watch the movie. But that's not to say the film's
lacking in any of the other departments, as one can't but love the
anti-ageist message of the film that's not brought across via sledgehammer
but via irony, and there's a pleasantly macabre note to things that's just
so alluring. All that, and an elegant directorial effort, really make this
into a short that's just totally worth watching!
