Successful actress Jane (Amanda Carrier) is auditioning for a film, but
when producer Carla (Rachel McKenzie) tells her it's gonna be a snuff
movie with her as the victim, she wants to leave right away ... but too
late, Carla has already drugged her, and when she comes to, she's already
tied up. Carla now accuses Jane of having stolen every role she would have
deserved from her since a college performance of Romeo and Juliet,
which Carla was fired from for Jane's sake - but Jane of course denies
everything until she can outwit Carla ... and only when she has knocked
out her opponent and freed herself does Jane admit that she only got the
role in college's Romeo and Juliet because she slept with the
producer - and her career would have really belonged to Carla after all. Nicely
filmed, written and played short with a nice twist ending. There's not
much more to say about this film, really, because it's so short (about 8
minutes) - short enough to not lose the viewer's attention for even a
second ... which is a good thing at least in my book. By the way, this
is the English language version of an earlier Unhappy End!-episode,
Das Casting, but
with a different (twist-)ending. This film
can be ordered directly from the director via email - MichaelMHuck@aol.com
(preferred) -, phone - +49 30 / 345 1338 - or the production company's
website - http://www.gator-group.de.
