One beautiful day, Monika (Susanne Schwab) forces her way into
Barbara's (Katja Bienert) flat, knocks her up, gags her and ties her up.
Then Monika accuses her of having an affair with her husband, and she
threatens to cut up her face. Barbara makes a desperate attempt to escape,
but to no avail, and in the end she ends up with a cut up face.
It's only then that Barbara's flatmate Susanne (Angela Ringer) comes
back home, and Monika has to realize it was actually Susanne who slept
with her hubby ...
Nothing too new in this third Unhappy End film, except
for the fact that this time it is starring a name actress - Katja Bienert,
the sex starlet from the early 1980's, still looking good. Apart from
that, Die Rivalin is another short drama about jealousy that
involves a woman being tied up, once more nothing great, but a likeable
little picture ... only the ending, where Monika realizes she has tortured
the wrong woman doesn't quite pack the punch it could/should have ...
