Back in the 12th century, Christ (Chris Milewski) returned to earth in a spaceship - but crashed into Delaware River without anyone noticing. Only during recent draining works had somehow uncovered his body, and finally he started to walk a world he was only gradually beginning to understand - when he had an eye-opening but earth-shattering confrontation with a petty criminal  ...

The True Story of The Christ's Return is most certainly an unusual movie: On one hand the film (like so many of director Chris Milewski's films) is reminiscent of vintage Italian (genre) cinema, with the film's reliance on religious, not to say Catholic symbolism only reinforcing this, on the other hand though, at its heart the movie's also completely experimental, leaving itself open to all sorts of interpretation, and on the third hand it also has a slightly ironic twang to it, from Christ's return via spaceship to the finale. So in all the film offers a rather unique experience - that's well worth a watch.
