Cheri (Sarah Booth) wakes up, bruised and battered and chained to a
chair ... but a doctor (Shawn Baichoo) seems to take care of her, so
that's good. But the doctor seems to be not so much interested in her
well-being as into something else, her experiences when she had been out,
after "an accident". According to Cheri, everything was black,
but that's not good enough for the doctor who insists she must have seen
something. Oh, and Cheri's accident wasn't as much of an accident as it
was an experiment to send her to hell with a return ticket ... but why
would the good doctor want to do that? Now one might argue
whether the premise of To Hell, With Love is the most believable
one, but unarguably, the short is a very tense psychological thriller that
really gets the most out of its single location and it brought to life by
great pacing, a tight yet subtle directorial effort, and great
performances. In other words, totally worth a watch.
