At the beginning of this episode, some details of the relationship between the mortal enemies Professor Monster (Mitsuo Ando) - he's the baddie, in case you wonder - and the benevolent alien Garia, who turned  Takuya (Shinji Toudou) into Spider-Man, back on their home planet called Planet Spider are revealed and how they came to earth 400 years ago.

Eventually, the action shifts to modern times, where Garia finally dies and Takuya and his girlfriend Hitomi are investigating the case of a derailed train - and wouldn't you know it, Takuya finds out that Professor Monster and his Iron Cross Army are behind it all, and he wrestles a few Iron Cross Army goons before they release another giant monster called Machine Bem and Spider-Man calls his giant robot Marveller that can turn into a giant robot called Leopardon and defeats the giant monster ...

Apart from a few details, the second episode of the Japanese Spider-Man series is pretty much a repeat of the first episode, at least action-wise there is not much new about this one. Still, if you like cheap and childish giant monsters and robots, this might be for you ...

Plus, there's one funny scene when Takuya claims he didn't even try to save Hitomi - who has no idea that he really is also Spider-Man - because he's a pacifist.
