Julie Morgan (Micaela Pignatelli) is sure that Gungala the half-naked jungle girl (Kitty Swan) is her long-lost cousin who could challenge her claims to her vast inheritance, so she hires Chandler (Jeff Tangen), the only white man who has seen Gungala and survived to tell the tale, to take her to deepest Africa to find her, and they hire Morton (Angelo Infanti), Julie's ex, as their guide. Julie soon realizes that Chandler has a soft spot for Gungala, so she uses her female charms to drag him to her side, while Morton just doesn't like the looks of everything. Soon though it seems the two women fight over Chandler, though they haven't even met eye to eye yet ...

An Arab (Alberto Terrani) has learned about the 400 carat diamond Gungala wears around her neck, and now he bribes a native tribe to help him capture her, even though the natives worship Gungala as their goddess, and attack our heroes just for good measure. Julie, Chandler and Morton soon become aware that the natives are preparing an attack - and so Julie has the great idea to dress up (or undress?) as Gungala to ... well, be a goddess. Somehow she even gets her hands ont he 400 carat diamond, and that's actually her downfall, and both she and Chandler are captured by the natives and prepared to be killed, while the Arab gets away with the diamond.

Morton in the meantime has met up with the real Gungala, and the two fall in love, make out, and more. Then Gungala fetches an elephant of her trust, attacks the native tribe and frees Chandler and Julie. Morton in the meantime catches up with the Arab, just when he's about to exit the land of the living thanks to some quicksand. At least Morton can save the diamond.

Morton reunites with Chandler and Julie, just when the natives are about to attack, but among the three of them a fight over the diamond erupts, a fight that eventually leaves Julie dead. Morton and Chandler manage to make an escape just before the natives have caught up with them, and Gungala, whom the diamond has been returned to, manages to fight them off single-handedly.

While Morton and Chandler return to civilisation, Gungala can't but stay behind, tears in her eyes.

The sequel to Gungala la vergine della Giungla is pretty much more of the same: Adult entertainment (a jungle girl who gets naked a lot) dressed up as boys' adventure. And the film's fun, too, not so much for its qualities but its shortcomings, like its unconvincing jungle sets, clumsily edited in jungle footage, feeble excuses for showing a few more boobs, for its less-than-perfect cast and over-simplistic script. Basically, it's really a boys' adventure story come to life - with boobs!
