Marcus (Alec Newman) and his right-hand man Boo (Vithaya Pansringarm)
continue their trips through the streets of Bangkok to find naive young
girls they can be charitable to - since Marcus's funds are limitless - and
then kill in return. But this time they seem to have found something else:
Sure, young Lek (Aomkham Kamonrattanan) looks the part and acts the part
of the country bumbkin overwhelmed by the task to make enough money in the
big city to pay for her mother's surgery, but in a seemingly unguarded
moment, she slips something into Marcus's drink, not knowing that cameras
are trained on her all the time. After mildly humiliating her, Marcus lets
her go though, and Boo tells her she ought to consider herself lucky - but
Lek is far from done with Marcus, having seen the immense wealth he lives
in, she makes up a plan to break in and get her fair (?) share ...
A very nice second episode of the series, adding actual
conflict to the premise set up by the darkly decadent first
episode. And Aomkham Kamonrattanan's blend of innocence, naivity
and street-smart really makes a nice contrast to Alec Newman's overly
slick Marcus, while the very polished direction again works well in
portraying the decadence of the whole concept. An episode that leaves
one hungry for more for sure.
