There was a zombie outbreak - 18 years ago, and while the first few
months were bad, society didn't crumble, a vaccine against the zombie
virus was developed before too long, and eventually things turned back to
normal. Sure, the zombie virus isn't completely wiped out, and even today
zombies walk the streets of New York - but they're just slow walking, low
energy stumbling corpses that pose more of a nuisance than a threat. In
this enviroment, Dave (Dave Krause) and Ragz (Chris Ragz) work as low
level zombie exterminators, whose job it is to take calls from people who
feel for whatever reason threatened by zombies, stun them and take them to
the next incinerator - a really boring job with a very low risk level, but
that's ok for our heroes who are more into trying to score dates and
getting laid (at both of which they're doing poorly) than ridding the
world of the zombie scourge anyways. Thing is, eventually the corpses they
capture develop into vicious killers, and what's more, the one time Dave
scores a date with a beautiful Russian model eager to marry for her visa,
she turns out to be a slowly turning corpse. Our heroes try to get the
situation under control but fail rather miserably, but they by accident do
find out what makes the dead so angry - thing is, who's going to believe
two bumbling guys like them ... Corpse Control is
actually quite a charming comedy, and one that works quite so well because
the zombies in this one take back seat behind the two lead characters, who
are well-fleshed out and who manage to steer clear of the moronic
throughout even if the story as such at times pushes the envelope a
little. In contrast to the two leads, all other characters feel more like
caricatures, but that said, they're at least well-drawn and work very well
within the narrative framework. The result is just really cool zombie fun,
with quite a few unexpected twists and turns thrown in. And if
this has at all gotten you interested, feel free to watch the webseries
