Reporters Lois Lane (Noel Neill) and Jimmy Olsen (Jack Larson) try to
get a scoop on a theft ring and soon find out that a (fake) mindreader
(Lawrence Dobkin) at a nightclub and his assistant (Veola Vonn) are part
of the ring's operation. So they set up a(n ill-conceived) trap to capture
all the culprits, a trap that has Jimmy dress up as an Argentinian
millionaire, but the trap instead springs on them and they find themselves
at the mercy of the swami, his assistant and the actual robber (Richard
Karlan), who soon decide to kill them ... but fortunately, Lois and Jimmy
are friends with Superman (George Reeves), who ultimately sets everything
right again and sees that the villains are brought to justice.
The whole plot of this episode is as ill-conceived as the trap Lois and
Jimmy are setting up, and on top of that it's rather childish and silly,
while not cheesy enough to work on a camp level. One of the worse episodes
of the series.
