Clark Kent (George Reeves) and Lois Lane (Noel Neill) hire Rollo the
Clown (William Wayne) for their annual telethon to collect for children in
need - but unfortunately, Rollo has a crooked friend, Crackers (Peter
Brocco), and when Crackers learns that the telethon is expected to collect
half a million Dollars, he knocks out Rollo and takes his place in the
show - and holds up Clark and Lois live in front of the camera, making
everybody believe that his stealing the money is just part of the act. But
when making his escape, he is stopped by the real Rollo, and the two fight
atop a rooftop, which ends in both falling to their doom - but fortunately
Superman (also George Reeves) flies by and catches the real Rollo in
mid-air, saving his life.
Naive and childish, but also charming in a campy sort of way.
