Little disabled Kathy Williams (Isa Ashdown) wants nothing more for her
birthday than to be taken to the fair by Superman (George Reeves) and thus
writes a letter to the Daily Planet - where everybody falls in love with
the human interest story behind the letter. However, then the girl
receives a call meant for another number by a gangster (Paul Marion) who
is shot immediately afterwards - and suddenly she is abducted by a couple
of French forgers (Maurice Marsac, Nan Boardman) and their big-hearted
strongman Slugger (John Doucette), who desperately try to get the
information she had recieved over the phone out of her - only she has a
hard time remembering ...
Back at the Daily Planet, Clark Kent - who is of course secretly
Superman (and thus played by George Reeves) - and friends wonder what
happened to the girl, until they get a tip as where to find her, and in no
time at all, Kent turns into Superman and not only saves her but also
takes her to the fair.
One of the cheesier episodes of Adventures of Superman,
but not cheesy in a good way. Not really worth your while.
