Robin Hood (Richard Greene) and his men pick up a young man, Harold
(Ian Whittaker), who has run away from his own castle after being
frightened witless by aviking ghost that is said to have killed his
father. Robin and company bring him back home and start to investigate,
much to the dismay of Harold's uncle Edmund (Charles Stapley) and aunt
Elsbeth (Barbara Mullen). Soon, they too see the ghost, but the castle's
deaf-mute hunchbacked servant Bodo (John Dearth) presents them with a few
pointers that not only let them find a viking treasure but also the
identity of the ghost, who's of course uncle Edmund, who together with
aunt Elsbeth wanted to scare the boy away in order to take over the boy's
estate. Some of the sets, including a torture chamber, are
pretty nice and atmospheric in this one, but in all, the story is way too
predictable to even remotely convince.
