Robin Hood (Richard Greene) and Little John (Rufus Cruikshank) bring
herbs to Nottingham to cure the plague, but since they afe of course
outlaws, they have to go to Nottingham incognito. They manage to deliver
the herbs to Anselm (Hal Osmond), but are detected by the Sheriff's (Alan
Wheatley) man shortly thereafter - and during their escape, Robin is
wounded, so much so that he has to visit the local doctor (Willoughby
Grey) ... who is one of the Sheriff's men though and who tries to drug him
and almost succeeds - but with the help of Anselm and the wagoner's guild,
Robin and Little John manage to escape Nottingham anyhow. Nothing
great, but an ok if naive TV-adventure story, the most interesting aspect
of which might be its very claustrophobic sets of the streets of
Nottingham - which might not be all that impressive and built on very
limited space mainly for budget reasons, but they are impressive
nevertheless.
