Aliens want to abduct lovely Bozena (Karolina Antosik), but her
psychiatrist Melissa (Tessa McGinn) who feels like a mother to her won't
let them, so he takes her to Doctor Asil (Kemal Yildirim), who seems to
know what's going on ... but then again he shags Bozena every time Melissa
turns her back - something which Bozena quite enjoys by the way. But once
Melissa's out and they're at it again, Asil is thus too preoccupied to
have Bozena's back ... and she does get abducted from quite under his
nose. Fortunately, while out, Melissa makes the acquaintance of Thorson
(Mel Mills), who seems to have a grasp of the whole affair and has some
gadgets and weapons to help. The story in short is this: The aliens are
actually beings from another dimension who have fucked up their homeworld
and now want to settle on ours - but in our atmosphere they cannot
reproduce between themselves yet, so the alien Hive Queen (Amelie Leroy),
who sometimes walks the earth dressed as a slutty nun, needs an earth
woman of a certain quality to carry her offspring ... Somehow, Asil
manages to track down Bozena and bring her back, but instead of solving a
problem, our heroic quartet find themselves with quite a few new ones ... If
ever you've laughed about a conspiracy theory and/or find alien abduction
stories a bit ridiculous ... you'll probably find at least something to
laugh about in Abduction, and likewise if you like your science
fiction with a grain of salt, or are just into slightly odd comedy.
Basically, this is a movie that pokes good fun at the whole alien
abduction myth (and it's science fiction roots and branches), with some
jokes being a bit on the crude and puerile side, others quite
sophisticated, with quite a bit of slapstick and sight gags thrown in just
for good measure - and the outcome is a quite weird mish-mash that works
quite beautifully thanks to a stringent story that's still full of
surprises and a competent ensemble that doesn't overdo it while obviously
being in on the joke. Basically, just sit back and enjoy!
