First of all, why don't you introduce yourself to those of us who don't already know you?

My name is KC Jockey. I am a Artiste/Actor/Songwriter/Producer/CEO/Humanitarian.

How would you describe your musical style, and some of your musical influences?

My style of music is defined different than most. It's melodic metaphors of clarity and different sounds all mixed in one caliber. Any gerne of music I am able to go with so it's hard to put me in one departmentt of musical flavour. My influences are a few of the best of the best who have done it and still are doing it. KRS-1, LL Cool J, Michael Jackson, AC/DC, Bruce Springsteen, Kenny Rogers, Smokey Robinson, Madonna, Prince, Yellowman, Bob Marley to name a few.

A few words about your new single Girl You're Free?

My new single Girl You're Free is aimed to all people who are with me and against domestic violence. Just showing our powerful females love and respecting them without hurting them physically or mentally.

How did you find your way to musicmaking in the first place, and did you receive any training on the subject?

I found my way to music thru the elements and the gift of God my higher power. Thankful and grateful for such a gift. Being able to express good great thoughts and messages of positive things thru musical words and beats is amazing and a blessing. I was born with swaggg and meaningful flavor to the mind of greatness so there was no training needed for it. From birth growing up I been musically inclined from dancing to singing etc reciting poems at a young age.

What can you tell us about your record label Sweet Sadie's Productions?

Being independent is the greatest, having all the say so as we combine a team to make it all happen and be heard and loved positively. I named this label after my belated mother who died in a car accident with 3 others in 1997. She went to Jamaica to bury her mom and on her way from the church to the burial ground I lost her in a fatal car crash. So I got more serious with life and my careers from then. As I struggle to do it all alone without a investor. Many offers, but always some BS, so I stayed alone to make it happen.

You have also done some acting in your career, most prominently maybe in the indie movie What Goes Around. What can you tell us about yur film work?

Yes I have played a few minor roles in American Gangster and I Am Legend, with Denzel Washington and Will Smith Russell Crowe to name a few. It was fun and a great experience as I do what needs to be done to reach the higher levels of acting in my career.

What Goes Around was a great experience as well, I played a major don who schooled and told the younger ballers not to do the evilous things in life and sex without condoms etc etc and be safe having sex etc. Positive scripts were my aim towards great messages.
Being in a independent film is a trying procedure with the budget and all. But the major film production is more catered too and more organized to the capital T.

How did you get into acting in the first place, and did you ever take any acting classes or something like that?

From when I was younger I was always into acting like in kindergarten doing skits and reciting poems. I'd not taken any acting classes for it. In Atlanta 2 years ago I had to do a particular skit so I went to an acting class to see what it was about to get a few credits into the movie business. I was in a class or 2 with Tyler Perry's colleagues to get a particular role.

How would you describe your approach to acting?

My approach towards acting and my career is deep but I must take it 1 day at a time. All will combine and go great as God has planned as doors open in a timely fashion.

Actors (or indeed actresses) who inspire you?

Actors who have inspired me are Sidney Poitier, Bill Cosby, Al Pacino, Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Robert De Niro, Clint Eastwood, Burt Reynolds, and a few others.

You have of course also appeared in your music videos. How does this compare to acting in a movie?

Well my videos have been acting from day 1 till now, but more mainstream now than ever. Pop mainstream now all is good as it gets greater. I get into character of whatever I am tryin to act out and be that different character. It's all fun.

Besides making music and acting, you are also busy in a number of charities. Want to talk about those for a bit?

As for charities I enjoy giving back to all communities and people who are less fortunate than others to have a few things in life. I love the world of people and love to see a smile on others facee. Unity is strength as we all give a helping hand, I do it from Jamaica my home country and in the USA grounds as well. Other islands as well now and then like Trinidad, Guyana and the list goes on. When all is said and done it's gonna get better when my income is greater also.

Any future projects of any kind you'd like to share?
