Your upcoming movie A New York Story - in a few words, what is it about, and what can you tell us about your character in it?

The crime film has a great storyline. The main character comes to England, on the run from very, very bad men. It's just a lot harder than he expected!

Playing a corrupt solicitor in A New York Story - what did you draw upon to bring your character to life, and honestly, how much of Jaiden Micheal can we find in Stimson?

To be honest, this is the first 'proper' acting job I've had. So I've not really used any method to create my own version of Stimson. I've listened to information about the character given to me by the team, used my gut instinct of how to play the role and hopefully I do it justice. I don't want to "channel" any other actor, character etc. I want to make any character I play my own.

What I love about Andrew Barclay [Andrew Barclay interview - click here] and Ben K. Dyson (the director) is that they allow me to voice my opinions and share my vision I have of Stimson. They believe in my ability as an actor and it's great for me to be able to play a role how I think it should be played. But obviously still listening to their views because at the end of the day, they're amazing at their jobs so know exactly what makes a great film.

How did you get hooked up with the project in the first place?

I'll be honest, I was cheeky and just sent Andy a message on Facebook saying something like "Hey mate, got any parts left??"

I think my bare faced cheek came across to him that I was keen to act and driven enough not to just sit back and let roles come to me. I approached him because I read the bio on the films Facebook page and instantly knew I HAD to be involved!

Andrew sent me a part to read for him and luckily, he saw the raw talent I have.

What can you tell us about your collaboration with Andrew Barclay [Andrew Barclay interview - click here] and the rest of the Eromeda Entertainment crew so far? And what's the preparation for the movie like?

I've not met with many of the team. Andrew is a fantastic guy and I've nicknamed him my mentor! He's been so supportive with my transition from reality TV star to actor. He knows it's a challenge as nobody takes reality TV starts serious. Andrew knows I'm hardworking and I will succeeded as an actor. It's so good of him to guide me like he has so far.

I've spoken to some of the other cast on Twitter/Facebook. I know the adorable Rowetta personally and I can't wait to see her in this film. This lady needs to be on TV more as an actress, she's a stunning actress and I think both myself and Rowetta will shock a few people with our acting ability.

I'm also really excited to work with Robbie Conway, who appeared in Shameless. I've always been a massive fan of his performances on TV and I just hope I don't start fan-girling when I meet him on set haha!

Any future projects beyond A New York Story you'd like to share?

Desperate Scousewives

I've always got stuff going on, I don't stop. Acting wise, I have auditioned for 4 films this year and got all 4 parts.

I can't discuss 2 of them but I will be appearing in The Middle Man by Philip J Howard. This is another exciting British crime film, based on Philip's autobiography.

I am also starring in my first theatre role, the play is called No Second Bite and it's an adult comedy. My character is so funny but a filthy sod! I can't wait to get stuck into the script, it's hilarious.

I'm also giving back to my local town. I've just started a talent academy (please follow us on Twitter - @jaidentalent). It's for 11+ year olds and it's going to be a lot of fun. I had nobody to help me and support my dream job when I was younger. It was laughed at on the rough estate I grew up on.

Your main claim to fame though is as a journalist and "Britain's Most Brutal Blogger" - you have to talk about that side of yourself for a bit?

I've never been a journo! People just assume that because I write columns for magazines and The Sunday Sport.

I went to college for 3 days and left coz there was no fit lads to perv at. I hated education! I've sorta winged it into writing because I write in a very honest way. I've released two books so far and even though I'm not JK Rowling, they've done really well because I write what other people are scared to say out loud.

I got into blogging 4 years ago because basically I couldn't get a break into music, acting or presenting.

You of course also have to talk about your participation in reality TV shows like Desperate Scousewives and Diet on the Dance Floor for a bit!

I was the star of Scousewives, that may sound big headed but it's true. It's not been on TV for over 2 years now and I'm STILL recognised everywhere, still working from it and I'm proud of my role in the show. Most of the cast have slated it and Channel 4 in the press. I'm not going to, Scousewives gave me such a platform for bigger things.

Jaiden with Tyler James

What got you into acting eventually, and did you receive any formal training on the subject?

I've always wanted to act. I did it in school, loads of little student videos etc. I acted straight for 23 years of my life so I must have some talent haha.

I've had no training at all. I'm not great believer in all these talent schools, university courses and stuff. I think you have natural acting ability, all you need is people like Ben and Andrew to support and guide you.

How would you describe yourself as an actor?

I'm very self critical so I can't really comment on this. I'll let the public decide when they see the film.

Actors, writers, bloggers, whoever else who inspire you?

Various people have inspired me over the years for different reasons. My mum and Gran obviously inspired me because both strong people gave me the best of what I needed.

The actress Danniella Westbrook inspires me and I'm lucky enough to now call her a friend.

Growing up watching her in Eastenders and then seeing her fall to rock bottom with no job, a drug problem, mental health issues was horrific BUT she fought and fought to get herself back on track. That to me is an inspirational actress!

I've suffered with mental health issues and depression in the past, people like Danniella helped me without her even knowing.

I have to say my good friend, singer Tyler James inspires me. He knows why. He's an absolute gentleman who I think the world of.

Oh god, I'm a proper girl when it comes to films! I love films like Clueless, The House Bunny, Drop Dead Fred. But I do love watching any genre! You can't beat a good Disney!

... and of course, films you really deplored?

Anything with Jennifer Aniston or JLO in. They're terrible actresses! I don't have a clue how they earn millions playing the same role in every film. If they can make it in Hollywood, then I can!
