A kid (Billy Gray) took a photo of Clark Kent (George Reeves) changing
into Superman, and somehow, conman Burnside (John Eldredge) got his hands
on the photo - while he tried to get a whole different picture from the
boy, one that shows that Burnside, who has collected insurance on his
death, is still alive. Now Burnside will stop at nothing to get the
picture, even a subway collision (which Superman prevents), while Kent
will stop at nothing to get his photo back. Ultimately, Burnside and
company are baited by a mailtruck that's supposed to hold Burnside's
picture, and that leads Superman right to Burnside's hideout, where he can
not only capture Burnside but also destroy the picture showing him
changing from reporter to superhero.
Quite a good episode of the series that delivers action and irony in
equal terms and does feature a storyline that somewhat breatks out of the
formulaic. Good fun, actually.
