This movie is probably best appreciated after watching the short also
titled All Over Again from
2017 first, which is about a man, Gregory (Joseph Fuoco) relatively late
in his life re-discovering his love for music, and makikng mosuc at that,
after a chance visit to an improv club. the song in this movie then is the
highlight of the earlier film played to an audience, juxtaposed with
pictures from Gregory's past, including how he got on the way to play the
tune today ... ... and the result is a very touching little
film, for one because the title song, an emotional ballad, gets under
one's skin because of Joseph Fuoco's no frills but still heart-felt
performance, but also because the whole thing is filmed in a rather
intimate way that Fuoco's performance just feels very real, and even
without having seen the earlier short first, one "gets" the
story's sentimental core and is able to wholly enjoy the experience.
