After two rather pointless intros featuring horror fave Felissa Rose
and wretling legemds Jimmy "The Boogie Woodie Man" Valentine,
The Colonel and Black Widow, we're treated to a family on a camping trip
sitting around their campfire one night, when out of nowhere a stranger
(Greg Russell Tiderington) a stranger appears, hoins them at the campfire
and tells them a gruesome piece of local lore: According to his story,
they're camping on land belonging to the Carter family. Now old man Carter
was a hothead with a tendency to violence who frequently let his
aggression out on his wife (Kadrolsha Ona Carole) and daughter Sarah
(Jenny Jannetty) while he keeps his son Bobby (James Price) chained up in
the shed. Thing is, his violent tendencies eventually land Carter in jail,
upon which his wife takes over terrorizing the family, but she soon dies
an untimely dead, upon which it falls upon young Sarah to defend the
family property against intruders - inexplicably, she keeps Bobby chained
up. And Sarah goes about this by killing any and all who set foot on their
land, in more and more gruesome ways ... Lloyd Kaufman makes a pretty
hilarious appearance as the mayor of Tromaville towards the end of the
movie. Now objectively, Family Property 2: More Blood is
not a good film, thanks to inconsistent audio quality to the point where
some dialogue is inaudible, at best functional camerawork and sloppy
editing - so this is definitely not a film for everybody. Still
afficionados of 1970s grindhouse horrors will find plenty to like about
this one as it pays clear hommage to these movies of old, with its often
over-boarding violence, graphic killings including lots of gore, some
gratuitous sex thrown in, and a great killer with cure Jenny Jannetty in
her invariably clean virgin white dress. So if you don't come in with too
high expectations and like your genre entertainment slightly trashy, you
won't be disappointed.
