Schoolgirl/undercover cop Saki (Yuki Saito) is ordered to take in
Junko, a schoolgirl whose parents have just been killed in a freak car
accident, and whose deaths are at least a bit suspicious. Junko soon
gets over the loss of her parents and, being a talented young pianist, she
prepares for a talent concours - and she's really good, too, but her
teacher Kawasaki tells her she hasn't got an ounce of talent. This almost
breaks Junko's spirit, but time and again, Saki encourages her to enter
the concours anyhow. But why does her teacher do everything to
discourage Junko? Because he has another student (Natsumi Asano), Kumi, who has him in
her hand, that's why, and she's hell-bent on winning the concours. Thing
is, Kumi is the sister of Ayumi Mizuchi (Yasuko Endo), Saki's arch enemy from last
episode (click
here), and eventually, Kumi calls on Ayumi, too, who makes
attempts on both Saki's and Junko's lives - unsuccessfully though. Despite
their best efforts, neither Kumi and Ayumi nor Kawasaki manage to keep
Junko from entering the concours, so only minutes before her performance,
Kawasaki stabs her and leaves her to die - but she drags herself onto the
stages and plays a triumphant performance before collapsing. Saki only
just manages to get her to hospital in time, then she enters the Mizuchi
residence, where Kumi and Kawasaki celebrate her victory at the concours,
and she teaches the two of them a lesson, at the end of which Kawasaki
falls off a spiral staircase to his death by accident, but not without
accidently breaking Kumi's hand first so she can never again play the
piano. Nothing special, but at least good fun.
