A witch tests out evil alien race Garoga's newly developed
hallocinogenic gas on humans - and when it's determined that it works,
terror beast Bakugon is sent to earth to hide under a scrapyard and infuse
the locals with hallucinogenic gas ... the locals being mainly a bunch of
kids who start playing baseball on same scrapyard, believing it's a
wonderful garden. Of course, the Zone family gets wind of this through
Zone Junior (Takashi Sato), and soon enough, he, Zone Fighter (Kazuya
Aoyama) and Zone Angel (Kazumi Kitahara) investigate the place - when
Bakugon rises from its hide-out and challenges Zone Fighter, now in his
giant form, to a fight. Zone Fighter is at first winning, until Bakugon
uses its halugenic gas to confuse Zone Fighter, then gives him a good
beating and prevents for a while that Zone Fighter gets recharged. But
ultimately Zone Fighter gets recharged all the same, gives Bakugon a good
beating pack, and fortunately Bakugon is a good enough sportsman to not
use his halugenic gas, which helped it so much earlier, anymore and
instead let Zone Fighter blast it to pieces. The idea with the
witch and the halucinations is at least somewhat inspired, some scenes of
destruction are nicely executed, and one has to love the somewhat silly
anteater-inspired terror beast design in this episode, but to really be
memorable the whole thing is just too straight-forward, up to a much too
forseeable finale.
