A certain rock has landed on earth that can turn into anything whoever
is in control of it wants, as long as he or she concentrates - and
somehow, an insignificant journalist gets hold of the thing, and with his
ideas of megalomania, he soon enough has the rock turn into a giant
monster. Then though he is knocked out by his own creation, and
disconnected from its master, the rock remains a giant monster and wrecks
a coastal town - until giant robot Ultraman (Bin Furuya) stops by to
wrestle it ... and it seems in the rock-monster the robot has found his
match - until the journalist comes to, is made to lose concentration, and
the monster is a rock once more. The episode with maybe the
silliest premise of the whole original Ultraman-series, and
consequently the monster-robot fights, in which they repeatedly throw each
other into the water, are by far the hokiest - but if you're into really
childish monster-stuff, this is a good thing, and you'll love the story as
high camp galore.
