Something is found at a construction site that looks like a time
capsule from an advanced civilisation from 300 million years ago (!), only
its content is missing. Just a document can be found that takes ages to
translate, and when the translation is finally done, it sounds like a
threat: The time capsule actually contained the liquified essence of two
giant monsters that are set to destroy the earth. Of course, when this
becomes known, the monsters' container was already hit by lightning, and
they become full grown again and immediately start to destroy Tokyo -
until they become aware of each other and lock in mortal combat that costs
one monster's life. Thank God though there's also giant robot Ultraman
around who takes care of the other monster. One of the episodes
that doesn't only have a robot versus monster fight but also a monster
versus monster fight (which are usually even better) - and that's great.
Of course, the whole story doesn't make all that much sense and is
childish to the hilt, but that's actually part of the attraction of a
series like Ultraman, isn't it?
