Cop Trinity Brown (Colleen Brennan aka Sharon Kelly) and her partner
Zach (John Leslie) are investigating the murder of mob boss Tony Romano,
and they soon find a trail that leads to his "pal" Frankie
Carbone, a man whom Trinity and Zach would just love to book. However, he
seems to have an alibi, he claims to have spent the night with actress
Cindy West - an alibi that's feeble at best though. And we, the audience,
know that he has actually spent the night with Tony's wife Angela and made
a getaway just when Tony arrived. Still, our two cop heroes don't
believe he did it, and they stir up heaven and earth during their
investigations. Zach eventually finds out he himself has a daughter with
Cindy West, and the daughter is held hostage by those who have really
killed Tony Romano, but when he tries to save her, he walks into a
deathtrap and is almost blown to pieces. He survives though. With Zach
in hospital, it's up to Trinity to find the killer on her own, and she
soon finds out that Cindy's daughter never existed and that Cindy and
Angela are actually lovers, but to be together, they had to get both Tony
and Frankie out of the way - and what better way than to frame one with
the murder of the other? Justice is served in the end though. Reads
like your typical a tad boring and uninspired1980's low budget cop movie,
right? Looks like it, too. Thing is, this is also a hardcore porn movie,
so to make all the interrogations a little more exciting, they lead to a
bit of fucking almost invariably. I guess whether you think that's a good
thing depends on whether you like hardcore porn or not, objectively
speaking though it's fair to say it spices things up a bit - and the girls
are all pretty good looking, even if their 1980's makeup- and hairstyles
are not exactly a turnon. Now seen from a porn perspective, this film is
a pretty decent effort, as the sex scenes are all woven into the plot
rather well and don't go on for too long to kill the film's pace. Still no
masterpiece, but decent at least. By the way, director Gary Graver
remade this film as a non-porn (but still sleazy) flick Roots of Evil
in 1992.
