When he finds his wife Claudia (Angelique) in bed with another man,
Richard (Michael Findlay) goes completely off the hook, runs out into the
streets and right in front of a car - and the accident paralyzes him
temporarily and he loses one of his eyes. However, he doesn't give the
staff of the hospital he's at his real name and doesn't let them inform
his wife, so for her he's gone missing ... Once out, Richard gets a room
at a cheap motel, cultivates a hatred for all women, and goes out at night
picking up whores and strippers for no other purpose than to murde them.
His number one object of hate thugh remains Claudia ... who has since
moved out of home and in with a friend, Jane (Suzanne Marre), Richard
doesn't know about - but he knows a friend of Claudia who does know, so he
tortures his wife's whereabouts out of her before killing her. Richard
hunts down and kills Claudia in Jane's house, but while he still feels
triumphant about this kill, Jane steals his weapon of choice, and when he
tries to hunt down and kill Jane as well, she ultimately turns the tables
on him ... This is certainly not a big movie, it's a
serialkiller flick that relies very heavily on its actresses to show their
(invariably rather big) boobs, and both violence and nudity in the film
are unarguably gratuituous - I mean, the story this whole thing is based
on is pretty silly and shallow to begin with. What makes this film weird
though is that there is as good as no on-screen sound and it cuts away
from the talking persons in pretty much every dialogue scene (and there
are quite a few of them). Still, several of this film's shortcomings are
actually quite endearing, and the camerawork is quite interesting, too -
so don't expect anything great, but at least if you're into
sexploitation/roughies from the late 1960's, The Touch of Her Flesh
will most certainly not disappoint you.
