Brains and Tintin (a girl, not a dog) of International Rescue join
professor Blakely's treasure hunt in the Egyptian desert undercover
(though why they do it undercover eludes me) - and soon enough, baddie the
Hood wants to get his hands on the same treasure - some gems hidden in an
underwater temple in a lake in the desert - as Blakely and co want to.
After Brains has found some of the gems, the Hood raids Blakely's camp,
knocking out everyone on sight and stealing the treasure - which calls in
the rest of International Rescue for some, well, rescue mission. Once
saved though, Brains wants to prove himself and goes down to the temple
again on his own, only to be trapped in an explosion by the Hood, so the
others have to save him again, using their Thunderbird-submarine
(Thunderbird 4 that is). After a shoot-out, the hood's sub can be chased
away and Brains can be saved and ... and everybody lived happily ever
after, I suppose ... One of the better episodes of Thunderbirds:
The story might be very silly, but it moves forward steadily enough,
Brains might be the most annoying character of teh series, but the focus
of the story is less on his exploits and more on the action - and after
all, the Egyptian sets are rather impressive, and as usual, the action and
effects are great.
