Somewhere in the middle of alligator-infested swamps, a scientist has
developed a growth serum that could effectively end the world's food
shortage -
however, a spy is after the formula and when stealing it releases a bit of
the serum into the swamps, producing, you guessed it, giant alligators
which soon attackt the scientist's place. Of course, the boys from
International Rescue come to the rescue in their flying machines, the
Thunderbirds, and in an act of divine justice, the spy ends up in the
belly of an alligator. Not the best episode of Thunderbirds
maybe, but the funniest - at least for someone like me who likes mad
scientists living in swamps and giant creatures on a rampage. The
alligators are actually real life baby alligators rather than puppets,
which somehow shatters one's perception of a Supermarionation-universe -
yet apart from that, the animals within the miniature sets work quite
convincingly ...
