A mild-mannered civil servant is forced to blow up the police archives
when someone attaches a bracelet loaded with explosives to his wrist and
tells him the only keys to the bracelet are within the police building.
The police is quick to suspect the civil servant of course, but
International Rescue, who rescued the man from the elevator cabin he got
caught in when trying to escape, is not so sure. And eventually, the
bracelet proving the man's innocence is found as well. Eventually, the
Erdman brothers become everyone's prime suspect. Good thing then that
Interpol agent Southern is already infiltrating the gang, whose present
plan is to erradicate Great Britain by blowing up a nuclear powerstation -
which is guarded by robots by the way. Again, the whole operation is to be
executed via explosive bracelets, and again the good guy - this time agent
Youthern - gets caught where it's teh most dangerous - this time he's
apprehended by a robot. Of course, once again International Rescue flies
in to help, and of course, they save Great Britain and agent Southern just
in time ... and the organisation's London agent Lady Penelope even manages
to shoot down the baddies' escape helicopter when they are just about to
take off. One of the best episodes of Thunderbirds,
mainly because it actually tells an actual story instead of just setting
up some disaster and then focussing on human drama (which the series'
puppets are just so terrible at), Add to that some great effects, cool
futuristic machines and campy robots and you've got pure entertainment.
