A film is about to be shot about the World Aquanaut Security Patrol
and especially their supersub Stingray - but much to the dismay of
Stingray captain Troy Tempest, Johnny Swoonara palys his role while all
other Stingray personnel play themselves. And what's more, with Swoonara
around, the World Aquanaut Security Patrol, namely secretary Atlanta and
mascot Marina, a mute mermaid, pay no more attention to him.
But of course, the whole film-thing is only a setup by evil King Titan
set into motion by his agent X20, who appears in the disguise of a bigwig
producer. Then though, he makes an assault on Troy's life, but Troy is
just able to save himself, and X20 only narrowly escapes ...
Later, an underwater shoot aboard Stingray. Troy, being fed up with all
the attention actor Swoonara gets, refuses to go, so the others go without
him, with Swoonara in the captain's seat ... but then Stingray is attacked
by X20, and Swoonara proves to be the perfect coward. It's only thanks to
Troy, who dives after the sub, that Stingray and all of her crew are saved
...
At the premiere party of the film, Swoonara gets a lot less attention
from the ladies than he is used to, Troy is the new hero of the day.
Mildly amusing in story, this episode mainly falls apart due to the
fact that the puppets just aren't actors, plus the disguises of X20 look
increasingly silly - which totally works against the plot here.
