Egyptologist Professor Graham asks supersub Stingray plus crew to come
to Egypt to investigate the mysterious disappearance of the Tajmanon
Temple that has been underwater for years now due to a dam-project. Diving
for the temple's location, the professor and the Stingray crew discover
clues that lead to a Central African tribe - but are almost killed by an
explosion.
Going up the Nile to Central Africa, the Stingray crew goes exploring
while the Professor stays behind - witht he result that the crew is
captured by a native tribe led by Abdul El Hamra, who is quick to convict
the crewmembers to death.
The Professor, worrying for his friends, decides to go after them and
promptly falls into an animal trap, from which he is saved by Abdul El
Hamra who quickly recognizes the Professor as the man who tried all in his
power to save the temple from being flooded - and he shows the Professor
the temple in all its glory ... on land. Actually it was Abdul El Hamra
who saved the temple from vanishing in the first place. And suddenly Abdul
El Hambra realizes he has made a terrible mistake by condemning the
Stingray crew to death, and he saves them virtually in the last minute
before they are crushed by a giant rock equipped with spikes. Now Abdul El
Hamra and the crew can become friends ...
Not much of a story in this episode, but some of the miniature work is
pretty neat, including miniature Egypt and a miniature jungle. Some
spliced in live action jungle stock footage on the other hand looks
totally unconvincing and looks even more out of place than such footage
usually does in live action films.
