In August 2009, German Michael Huck was accused of being a mad fan
stalking Lydie Denier, who claims he tried to gain her confidence posing
as a film producer. It's interesting in that respect then that Huck actually
produced her first and only film as a director, A
Bouquet for a Kill, about which no mention is made in the court
papers concerning the case. Furthermore, Michael Huck suspects Denier of
trying to steal A
Bouquet for a Kill from him. This film, made by Michael Huck as his defense
against her claims, puts her statements towards the police (which Huck
reads out loud wearing an intentionally awful wig and sporting an even
worse French accent) against footage from the making of A
Bouquet for a Kill, which shows Lydie Denier in control of
direction - but Huck's constantly seen in the background acting as
producer - now in my eyes, a guy who produces your movie is no longer
someone posing as a producer, he's just a producer, your producer, right?

Let's
put one thing straight, Stalking Lydie is of course no work of art,
it was made for one reason only, for Michael Huck to defend himself from
afar against Lydie Denier, who tries to destroy his reputation in a
California court. And as a defense, Stalking Lydie succeeds, simply by showing Michael Huck
- with a big smile because one of his favourite actresses directs one of
his movies - producing a film starring and directed by Lydie Denier ... and
no matter how you put this matter, this ain't stalking, there is a grave
difference between stalking and producing a film. It's interesting
though that the making-of-footage treats Lydie Denier with respect
and gives a rather intimate insight into low budget moviemaking, and the
fact that Ms Denier does most of her directing tied up and gagged (because
her role demanded it, not because Mr Huck saw no other way to keep her at
the set) is almost endearing and endearingly funny ...
