An insomniac (Matthew Olivo) watches a horror anthology and does what people do when they watch horror anthologies, like smoking a joint or ordering pizza. And while he does all that, 5 stories unfold in front of him:

  • The Exterminator: In a future USA, the population is kept at 300 million sharp, and any overhead is just exterminated. One day, the boss (Chuck Williams) of the extermination office scolds one of his employees (Kevin Bangos) for not delivering the list of people to exterminate in such a mean manner that the employee sees to it that his boss's name lands on the extermination list the very next day - ouch!
  • Dead Letters: Writer Ash (Dan Lookabill) has never come to terms with the death of his wife Ethyl (Devorah Lynne Dishington), especially because he caught her making out with his own agent (Tyler Wolfe). Then though he somehow gets hold of a magic typewriter that makes all the things he's writing happen in real life - and thus he brings Ethyl back. Only his agent sees behind the facade, and instead of the live Ethyl Ash sees, he sees only her decayed corpse ...
  • Night Scream: Joey (Aaron Manning) takes his friends on a trip to the country - to use them as bait to capture his own vampire sister (Natalee Phillips).
  • The Range: The old West: Meet all sorts of folks roaming the range, including cowboys, Indians, outlaws, the law, and a couple from the East that has been robbed of almost everything. Oh yeah, and then there are zombies.
  • Turnout: A madman (Steven Richards) slaughters a couple (Elias Cecil, Chani Nicolas) on a camping trip but is in turn slaughtered by their friend (Emilee Wilson) - who then thinks about taking up slaughtering people full-time.

The anthology movie is over, but now our insomniac is told that he will meet his death ... and he is slaughtered in no time.

At best so-so anthology movies, that might feature a few fairly good ideas but isn't too good in execution, and apart from that the stories vary way too much in genre, in quality and in approach from one another to really form a coherent whole - and thus the movie is little more than brainless entertainment, not really bad, but also not really worth seeing.
