The main story of this episode concerns the officers of the Reno police
department (Cedric Yarbrough, Niecy Nash,
Robert Ben Garant, Thomas Lennon, Carlos Alazraqui, Wendi McLendon-Covey,
Kerry Kenney) making an effort to rid the city of illegal fireworks - but
when they find a icecream truck full of the stuff, they can't help
themselves and play around with all kinds of firecrackers a bit until they
accidently blow up the whole icecream truck when a bottle rocket loses its
way. Subplots show officers abusing their position to harrass Jehova's
witnesses (Steve Mallory, Charlie Weirauch), less than pretty officer
Weigel (Kerri Kenney) posing as a prostitute during a sting operation, a
streaker tricking the officers making it over the border to California -
in the nude -, and gay Lt Dangle (Thomas Lennon) trying to pick up a guy
(Ken Marino) in his patrol car, but ultimately getting robbed by him. Another
fun episode of this fake reality show that might not always be as subtle
and sophisticated as it could be, but it's highly entertaining and way
more intelligent (and better made) than Police Academy for
example.
