Somewhere in the Caribbean, the 18th century: On board of his ship,
Captain Reynolds (Evan Stone) stylizes himself as the greatest
piratehunter of them all - despite the fact that he has never fought any
pirates, has never set foot aboard a boat before buying himself the
command of that one, despite the fact that he doesn't know how to handle a
sword too well and isn't exactly the most courageous of men. Frequently,
he is overcome by self-doubt, but whenever that happens, he is set
straight by his first mate and childhood friend Jules (Jesse Jane), who's
more capable than him in doing pretty much everything, but still assists
him in following his dream. One day, Reynolds and crew pick up
ship-wrecked Isabella (Carmen Luvana) and learn that her husband Manuel
(Kris Slater) has been kidnapped by Victor Stagnetti (Tommy Gunn), the
meanest pirate of them all - and without even consulting Reynolds, Jules
promises they will save him. On a pirate island, Jules learns that
Stagnetti needs Manuel to find a fabled Incan treasure supposed to make
him king of the world, but she and Reynolds are kept from intercepting the
pirate right then and there by Marco (Steven st.Croix), a former lover of
Jules who now wants to kill her and Reynolds both, and only saved by
Andelina (Austyn Moore), a madwoman madly in love with Reynolds. On the
treasure island, Reynolds and company do actually catch up with Stagnetti,
and they take his first mate Serena (Janine Lindemulder) hostage to give
himself up. But rather than even negotiating for the life of his first
mate who is also his lover, he leaves her, along with Manuel, behind with
Reynolds and company and raises a skeleton army to fight them. Reynolds
and company only just manage to escape the skeletons, and in the finale
they actually succeed in sinking Stagnetti's ship ... For a
hardcore porn production, this is an incredibly accomplished film: It
features very decent production values, quite a bit of CGI that isn't
always terribly convincing but lovingly done and very detailed and it
totally serves it purpose, and some rather accomplished action sequences -
quite besides the usual sex scenes of course. Also, the script is a lot
better written than the usual plot-based porn fare inasmuch as the sex is
actually worked into the narrative rather than just using the plot as a
hanger for sexscenes. The main asset of the film though is none of all
this but a hilarious performance by Evan Stone, who really carries the
movie acting-wise ande proves himself to have impeccable comic timing
(there is many a mainstream wannabe comic who could learn a great deal
from the man). Next to Stone, Jesse Jane makes the perfect straight
(wo-)man: Granted, her acting might not be exactly great, but she makes a
perfect seductive voice of reason to Stone's funnyman. In all, if you're
at all into plot-based porn, this is pretty much a must-see. But be
warned: If you're not into fake breasts, you won't be too happy with this
one because there's hardly a woman without artificially augmented boobs in
the cast.
