A few months after the events of Paranormal
Farm, documentary filmmakers Carl (Carl Medland) and Taz (Mumtaz
Yildirimlar) return to the farm of Darren (Darren Earl Williams) and Lucy
(Lucy French) to make a follow-up documentary. Rather by accident, Carl
meets up with their neighbour Robert (Robert Gray), whose daughter has
disappeared years back, and that disappearance might have something to do
with the spooky happenings on Darren and Lucy's farm. Once Darren and Lucy
learn that Carl wants to find out more about Sarah though, they close up
and start acting weird, as if they had a dark secret. Then there's also a
local cult that Darren might belong to and about which he is so evasive
that Carl figures something must be up. Things come to a head though when
Carl gets in touch with Sarah at a seance, and Darren starts to show his
true face - and it's not pretty ... Fans of found footage
horror are sure to love this one, basically because it's a very honest
film, one that reveals its own tricks and talks about how scenes are
staged, but rolls it all into a storyline that might be a bit on the
slowburning side, but that's also pretty engaging - and the finale sure
enough is very exciting and utterly creepy. And thanks to a very relatable
cast, the whole thing works like a charm, too.
