It's a typical small town in New Jersey, where most of the women are
dissatisfied with their husbands, be it that they never have time, be it
that they don't pay alimony, don't spend too much money on them, drive
them to drinking or play the constant victim. And then, not long before a
solar eclipse, all these women think they are pregnant because their
menstrual cycle takes a pause - and the longer that pause lasts, the more
irritated these women get, until this irritation turns homicidal,
homicidal exclusively towards men ... Now above synopsis only
covers in part what the movie's about, as it's more a series of vignettes,
some intertwined, others not, of women getting increasingly annoyed with
their male partners, and these vignettes are actually poignantly written
and well-played, all attributing to the grander story of the film, and all
driving towards its punchline - and in a very fun way, too - making this
pretty cool macabre entertainment.
