Susumi (Miki Komori) is the top student of her school, and the
teachers' darling - but she is also the defender of her fellow students
against all sorts of perverts under the alias of the Legendary Panty Mask
(= Maboroshi Panty), a topless superheroine wearing panties on her head to
obscure her identity. And there are plenty of perverts in the school, like
the weird mystic who claims he has the power to tear all clothing of
schoolgirls (which is actually achieved by fishing rods), Panty Mask's own
male counterpart, who likes to show off his private parts to girls until
they faint, and of course the perverted professor Satanas, who relishes in
stripping naked unruly students. The first two perverts are dealt with
easily, but Satanas is not just a pervert but a real villain with a gang
to back him up, a secret hideout and everything ... Enter a klutzy male
student who turns into superhero Henchin Pokoider everytime he publicly
removes his pants. At first he wants to duel Panty Mask, but once he sees
she's kind at heart, he decides to team up with her and proceeds to take
down Satanas in her stead ... but fails and becomes his captive. Panty
Mask enters Satanas' hideout and fights and defeats all his henchmen (one
of whom uses a giant erection as his weapon of choice), but becomes
Satanas' captive as well when he threatens to kill Pokoider. But seeing
Satanas vibrate Panty Mask to orgasm, Pokoider builds up enough sexual
energy to free himself, and then he and Panty Mask fight and defeat
Satanas together for good ... Maboroshi Panty vs Henchin
Pokoider is definitely not the best work ever to be based on a manga
(or more than one) by Go Nagai, it's basically just a mindless and cheaply
made superhero film that serves as an excuse to show quite a bit of nudity
- but to a point at least that's exactly the point of this film: It's
silly to the hilt, but it also knows that and is refreshingly unapologetic
about its concept while at the same time making fun of itself as well as
everything else. That said, the same goes for other Go Nagai-adaptations
of his more erotic work, most notabloy the Kekko
Kamen films, and they are almost uniformly better - but still,
as a piece of sexy silliness, you might as well enjoy this.
