Kit (Ekin Cheng), Man's (also Ekin Cheng) identical twin brother comes
for a visit to Hong Kong from Thailand ... & promptly is involved in
an accident, driving Man's car & carrying Man's driving license ...
which leads to everyone in the hospital he's at taking him for Man,
ncluding Man's gay boafriend Jing--Chung (Jan Lamb). But while Kit is
still in a coma, his girlfriend Jane (Charlene Choi) calls, telling Man
that Kit might be in serious (financial) problems if he doesn'T return to
Thailand, & since Kit is unavailable, she persuades Man to come to
Thailand in his stead & fix the mess he's gotten into ... But little
does Man know that Kit & Jane have gotten in too deep with gangster
King (Dayo Wong), owe him a considerable sum of money & are now unable
to pay him back. When Jane & Man - as Kit - try to mke amends, it only
resuldts in King wanting to cut off Man's finger ... & only thanks to
the clumsiness of King's bodyguards it is in the end not Man but King
himself who loses a finger ... & Jane is able to fetch a gun &
shoot them free ... but now they are pretty high on King's wanted list. To
somehow get enough money to get out of it all, Jane & Man then try to
sell some (fake) heroin to drug kingpin Keith, but somehow that deal ends
in goes wrong too when Keith notices the heroin is fake, & after a
shoot-out Keith turns up dead, Keith's men are pursuing Man & Jane,
& Keith's money turns out to be fake too. What makes this situation
even worse is that Keith is King's brother, & King is not one to
easily forgive ... but all this ordeal only brings Man & Jane closer
to each other ... Back in hong Kong, Kit is gradually getting better,
but recovering from his coma he only slowly learns to walk again ... but
his/Man's boyfriend Jing Chung is always at his side, & Kit realizes
what a good man he is & somehow responds to his emotions, too ... then
though he decides to return to Thailand to take care of his business that
in the meantime has been gloriously messed up by Man ... & soon
enough, Man & Jane end up tied up in an abandoned building-site with
gunmen & timebombs surrounding them, as King wants them to go out in
style ... But of course Kit finally shoots them free, & in the very
end, only King goes up with the building. & when Man returns to hong
Kong, we realize that both he & King have evolved into better persons
due to these experiences (argh) ... Boring comedy about
mistaken identities, featuring all the typical twin clichés but being
rather unsuccessful in turning the at best moderately promising premise
into anything entertaining. Most of it is just routine Hong Kong
shoot-outs alternated with gay jokes, with noone in the cast, with the
possible exception of Kenny Bee as Jane's father, willing to be funny -
which pretty much ruins the comedy angle & leaves the audience with an
incredibly lame gangster story..
