Little Daniel (Fernando Boza) has just lost his
last tooth, and now his friend Sam (Michel
Hérraiz) tells him the Hada (Eva Isanta),
some sort of demon, will get him - but his granny (Silvia
Casanova) thinks that's just bullshit because there are no demons in the
first place, and, well, Sam is only Daniel's imaginary friend. So she
doesn't even give in to the boy's request to leave on the light. But
imaginary friend or not, there's so much granny doesn't know ... On
a story level, Hada has little new to offer, it's about the rather
irrational fears of a boy, and how they become reality ... but that said,
the becoming reality part has hardly ever been done as effectively and
creepily, and that with only using a few actual special effects and
instead relying on atmospheric filmmaking, great editing, proper narrative
buildup, and satisfying pay-off. Definitely worth a watch ... but after
it, you'll sure wish you'll never lose a tooth again ;)
