Charles (Zack Ward) and Helen (Amanda Markowitz) are celebrating their
10th anniversary, and it should be the most romantic evening ever - but
something's not quite right between them: They sit too far apart on the
table, Helen's very timid, and it seems she wouldn't dare doing or saying
anything without Charles' permission, and their conversation seems rather
stale - until Charles throws Helen onto the table, and they have the most
passionate sex. It's only when the clock strikes midnight and Helen's eyes
widen in utter fear that we come to understand that something's seriously
wrong between the two - but how wrong the audience cannot even begin to
guess ... A very powerful thriller miniature, this is a movie
that seems to score on all levels: The performers are first rate, the
camerawork's very slick and atmosphere-heavy, the writing and pacing keep
the tension at a high throughout, and the ending is a real shocker. Well
worth a look!
