There's nothing that Darvis (David Black), Kenobe (Glen Cook) and
Kelvin (Brett Sixtysix) enjoy more than playing Monopoly in their
clubhouse - until said clubhouse is invaded by a vicious girlgang
(Anastasia C. Kouloukas, Grace Liu, Melanie Kuhn), who enjoy nothing more
than to bully meek males like our "heroes", often to the point
of humiliation ... or even castration. However, when all seems lost,
Darvis suggests a wager: A game of the girls' choice, if they win the
clubhouse is theirs, but if the men win, they get to have sex with all the
girls. Sounds like an idea of course, but maybe he shouldn't have let the
girls pick the game ... Now if you're looking for subtle
humour, this film is not for you - and in fairness, the title Game of
Groans might have suggested as much: No, this short is loud, it's
gross, it's direct - and it's also lots of fun, of the party movie
variety. Sure, there's not a lot of sophistication to this one, but if one
drops one's reservations and instead has a beer or three while watching
it, this is definitely worth a few big laughs.
