Merv (James Heathcote) is a fan of mind-numbing 1980's slasher movies,
so when one day on his doorstep he finds a looney wearing a potato sack
over his head, it's a dream come true. Soon enough, he and his pal Onkey
(Dan Palmer) change the looney's outfit around a bit - like adding a
hockey mask to his potato sack and similar uninspired hommages to
1980's slashers - and teach him how to kill people.
It's fun for a while (for them, not necessarily for the audience), but
when their looney kills all their guests at a party, they decide to get
rid of him and thus drive him to the middle of nowhere and abandon him -
harr-dee-harr (not).
But the looney returns and now wants his revenge on Merv and Onkey -
and the situation is not at all helped by the fact that the sheriff (Yazz
Fetto) thinks Merv is responsible for all the killings.
But in the end, our heroes can defeat the looney and make him explode -
not at least by insulting him calling him a bum-feeler. And all
that remains of our looney is some green goo ...
A totally misguided attempt to make fun of the slasher genre: None of
the jokes are really funny (and most of them not even topical), all the
actors are rather bad, and the direction doesn't even make the first
attempt to create an atmosphere - obviously the director was way more
preoccupied with showing everyone what a slasher geek he is than actually
doing some creative directing.
It's a pity of sorts, since the basic idea of the film could have made
an excellent comedy ... only with an unfunny script, no real directorial
efforts and bad actors, it just doesn't, it just ends up being one really
annoying mess of a film.
