Michael (Michael Hanelin) is just waiting for his forever-delayed
flight at an airport bar when he crosses paths with Jenna (Ashlieya
Mariano), who promises him a "good time" - and despite being
married with children, Michael gladly accepts her offer - and soon ends up
tied up to a chair in Dr. Saville's (Allen Valor) dungeon, who, besides
torturing him, gives him a
private movie show of three tales of terror:
- Anna (Honda King) is dead nervous about her wedding to Whitney
(Briana Lys) because she feels herself to be a bit overweight. So she
visits Dr. Blaum (Dan Weisgerber) who offers her a pill that will
release an artificial tapeworm within her body to eat up the excess
weight. This works very well, problem is, once her weight is down to
the desired level, the tapeworm's still hungry, and not too
particularly what (or who) it's being fed with ...
- Cara (Vienna Hayden) gives Jake (Jedediah Jones) a box of sea
monkeys as a break-up gift, as he might develop more of an affection
to them than he ever did to her. A silly gesture of course, but when
the box gets in contact with spoilt milk, its seed turns into a
beautiful woman, Mary (Kristina Sabbagh). Now at first, Mary seems to
be the perfect companion to Jake, so much so that he proposes to her
in a matter of days. But then she develops a very unhealthy jealous
streak - unhealthy to all those around her ...
- A father (Kirk Levingar) tries to get his daughter (Harley Queen)
through the zombie apocalypse. Only things are not as black and white
as they first seem ...

Storywise, Dr. Saville's Horror Show owes quite a bit to
classic Twilight
Zone episodes with its three macabre segments with surprise
endings reminiscent of (in the best meaning of the word) old-fashioned
short stories, even if the movie at hand is much more visceral than the
series of old. But the point is, all three segments are very satisfying
due to good storytelling, but also a genre-savvy directorial effort, and
of course a very relatable cast portraying a colourful cast of fleshed-out
characters, all resulting in pretty cool genre entertainment.
