Going all the way back to Genesis: Adam (David Black) walks through
Eden minding his own business when he crosses paths with the Snake of Eden
(Hope Beale), who suggests he eats from the Tree of Life to become
like God - you know, immortality and all that stuff. But Adam is actually
not all that interested, as he likes his life in paradise as it is,
and furthermore, Eve has just eaten from the Tree of Wisdom, and now
she knows things she never wanted to to begin with ... Now if you
believe the writings of the bible to the letter, you'll probably feel
offended by this - but I doubt this little film has been made for you
then. However, if you're more open-minded, have a sense of humour, and
actually sometimes wondered about many of the biblical details on the
creation of man, you'll find plenty to laugh about here as it manages to
shed new light on an ages-old story and add a satirical touch to it. And
with both actors clearly up to the task to deliver their punchlines on
point, this has turned out to be a very pleasant and highly entertaining
short.
