In Texas, there's a triangle of roughly 700 square miles where time and
again a large canine creature walking on its hindlegs - dubbed the Dogman
- has been sighted, according to eyewitness reports. How authentic these
sightings are, and if some weren't actually other creatures of the woods
nobody can say for sure, as there's no actual photographic evidence or the
like, but Aaron Deese, authority on the creature, has written a bood on
the phenomenon, The Texas Dogman Triangle, and based on this, he
and frequent Small
Town Monsters collaborator Shannon Legro have taken a trip to the
area, to interview eye witnesses but also cryptozoologists, to paint a
clearer picture on the subject ...
... ant this is where The Dogman Triangle really
succeeds, as it doesn't just rely on believers or on doubters but delivers
different explanations for the phenomenon, from the werewolf myths early
settlers have brought with them from their respective homes to Native
American legends to simple errors to scientific probabilities. It's not a
documentary that will sway a doubter to the other side, but it tells a
very interesting story all the same that can easily be enjoyed by
everybody.
