Your upcoming short Precious - in a few words, what is it about?

Precious is a exorcist type film about a relationship between a mother and daughter.

How did the project fall together in the first place?

We were approached by David V.G. Davies [David V.G. Davies interview - click here] as a friend of ours and he asked if we would take on this segment as part of the feature film Blaze of Gory.

Precious is part of the anthology movie Blaze of Gory - so what can you tell us about your collaboration with the anthology's mastermind and screenwriter David V.G. Davies and the writer of the movie's source material Blaize-Alix Szanto [Blaize-Alix Szanto interview - click here]?

The feature film Blaze of Gory is nine short stories written by Blaize Alix Szanto at a young age, so when David V.G. Davies wanted to get this story out years later a few of us filmmakers were more than happy to support.

Do talk about Precious's approach to horror, and since it's part of an anthology, were there any guidelines regarding this?

All the short stories were written by Blaize so there were the only real guidelines and each production company came up with their ideas on how to bring Blaize’s stories to life on the big screen.

David V.G. Davies, Emily Booth, Jason Wright

What can you tell us about Precious's overall look and feel?

Precious has a typical indie feel with a bit of grindhouse for good measure.

Do talk about your movie's key cast, and why exactly these people?

Our main star was Emily Booth, who plays the mother in the film and was outstanding in terms of her character. We also have Rudy Barrow [Rudy Barrow interview - click here] as the exorcist whose performance will send shivers down your spine, and finally the young Charlotte Snowball and despite her first main performance on film she was also amazing.

A few words about the shoot as such, and the on-set atmosphere?

We also try to maintain a family type atmosphere on set as well as getting the work done and this film was no different in that regard.

Any idea when and where Precious will be released onto the general public?

Precious is out on the festival circuit now for the next year and I am sure the feature film Blaze of Gory will be available for the public to view soon so keep your eyes out for that.

Any future projects you'd like to share?

Silent Studios Productions has just finished their first feature film Torture which is now in post-production so expect a trailer early 2018. We have released a zombie apocalypse film called Extinction and this is part of the feature Zombie Wars. In addition we are now in pre-production of a zombie comedy and have some more films in wraps up our sleeves, so keep your eyes on our website.
