After his father's (Chrles Meredith) death, prodigal son James (Peter
Miller) returns to his family's farm to claim it as his inheritance - and
he's got his father's last will in his pocket to prove his claim ... much
to the dismay of his mother (Katherine Squire) and his older brother John
(Lee Farr), who has dedicated his whole life to the farm. But then, John
sees the spirit of his father who tells him to look for a more recent will
in the family bible (book Genesis, hence the title) - and after some to
and fro, John gets his hands on the bible and therefore on the will, and
he inherits the farm after all. Boris Karloff plays the attorney trying
to figure things out. Less than satisfying episode of The
Veil, basically little more than an overly clichéd
brother-against-brother conflict with a ghostly apparition thrown in for
no good reason. Pretty boring.
