On an old school audio tape, the Visitor (Nicholas Michael Jacobs)
tells two tales of terror:
There's the man who killed his wife, then skinned her and wrapped her
skin around her favourite doll Genevieve - who now comes back to haunt him
...
And there's the woman (Alexis Beacher) who orders a surprise box off
the internet, and upon recieving it, she finds the content to be a mask
made from human skin. But the real shock is whose skin it actually is ...
Now stylistically, this short of about three minutes feels more like an
audio play with the pictures only added as an afterthought, as basically
the narration says it all, with the images having little to add
narratively. But what the visuals do is add atmosphere and a genuinely
macabre undercurrent to the audio, making this directorial approach work
out rather nicely - also thanks to the gruesome props and masks - for a
short, creepy experience.
