Tom (Alexander Gauthier), your typical 1950s teen, seems to have
really hit the jackpot with Lucy (Jamie Lyn Bagley), not only has she
fallen for his charms and allowed him to take her to lovers lane, but once
there she's really uninhibited, too, and really wants to get into his
pants ... and Tom knows enough about the birds and the bees to know that
that's theoretically a good thing, even. But Tom has a bit of a problem
that's hard to explain - so let me try: Many men refer to their privates as
"trouser snake", whileTom's penis ... well, it actually is a
trouser snake - and it's feeding time ... Ok, in pure writing, Trouser
Snake might sound like a cheap bathroom joke, and there are certainly
(intentional) aspects about this film that support just that ... but it's
lots of fun anyways as it does successfully blend this kind of humour with
1950s creature feature clichées (including the clean pristine world they
are set in) to rather hilarious results. And thanks to a directorial
effort that understands the genre, and actors who are in on the joke yet
treat the story with the necessary seriousness, this is bloody good fun!
